Prof  K. G. Subramanian’s biography:

K. G. Subramanian is currently a visiting researcher at the School of Computer Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He was earlier involved in teaching and research in the School of Mathematical Sciences (2007 – 2010) and the School of Computer Sciences (2011-2013), Universiti Sains Malaysia. He was also on the faculty of the Department of Mathematics, Madras Christian College, Chennai, India from 1970 to 2006. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1980 from University of Madras, India. His research interests include Combinatorics on words, graph theory, applications of the theory of formal languages to picture generation, learning,  cryptography and biologically motivated computing models.
